Tesla and Rivian’s four-year legal battle over trade secrets may be coming to an end. Tesla filed the lawsuit in 2020, claiming Rivian encouraged former Tesla employees to steal confidential information.

Tesla says it caught three workers taking valuable data before joining Rivian. Rivian has always denied these claims, calling them baseless.

The case was set for trial in 2025, but a “conditional” settlement could end the dispute sooner. According to Bloomberg, Tesla expects to seek dismissal of the lawsuit by December 24.
