YouTube has introduced a new feature that allows creators to share Shorts exclusively with channel members (paying subscribers). The member-only shorts feature will help creators attract more of their subscribers to become members, boosting their revenue on the platform.

Paying subscribers already receive extra perks like exclusive live streams, member-only videos, member-only live chat, and a lot more.

Channel members will soon enjoy even more exclusive content if their favorite creators choose to utilize the member-only shorts feature when publishing short-form content. However, this feature also allows creators to schedule their shorts to be accessible to all subscribers after a certain amount of time if they choose. So, non-paying subscribers can also get the chance to watch these shorts after a couple of days.

YouTube encourages creators to member-only shorts feature to attract more subscribers to become channel members. One of the ways creators can make these shorts worthy is by sharing more engaging and intimate content such as Q&As, exclusive deals, and any other form of videos that make members more connected to the channel.

Since Google launched YouTube Shorts in 2020, it has become a massive success, reaching over 2 billion active monthly users by the end of 2023. The platform is now coming up with ways to help creators monetize their short-form content, and this member-only shorts feature is another step closer to achieving this goal.
