According to TechCrunch, Yahoo has removed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) content from its corporate website.
Key DEI pages now redirect to the company’s leadership page, and its 2022 diversity report is no longer accessible. Historical data from the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine indicates these changes occurred between December 2024 and January 2025.
A Yahoo spokesperson attributed the removal to a website redesign aimed at streamlining content, reducing it by nearly 60%, and emphasizing advertising solutions.
However, this move follows a broader trend of U.S. companies scaling back DEI initiatives amid pressure from the Trump administration.
Executive orders and Justice Department actions are pushing private sector companies to roll back DEI programs. Tech giants like Google, OpenAI, Meta, and Amazon have also recently removed or reduced DEI mentions on their websites or in reports.
