Recently, Google announced that Google Wallet can automatically add boarding passes and movie tickets from Gmail. This feature is currently available for some movie chains and airlines, but the company plans to expand. This update is certainly good news, following Google’s recent update allowing you to archive passes by removing them from your main screen without deleting them entirely.
Before the update on tickets, adding tickets to Google Wallet meant either clicking “Add to Google Wallet” during a purchase or taking a screenshot of the ticket PDF with the QR code visible. In short, the new feature automatically scans your Gmail for flight and movie ticket confirmations and adds them to your Wallet. However, it doesn’t work with all booking platforms yet.
