According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, the iPhone 17 Pro will not feature a two-toned back design seen in some online renders.
Gurman states that “the camera area will be the same color as the rest of the device,” contradicting depictions of a dark camera block on a silver back.
He also suggests that, aside from the new Pixel-like camera module, the iPhone 17 Pro will not be a major departure from current models.
Separately, The Information reports that Apple has opted for a half-glass, half-aluminum build for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max to enhance durability while maintaining wireless charging capabilities.
This year’s iPhone 17 series will also include a new ultra-slim iPhone 17 “Air” model, replacing the Plus, with an expected announcement in September.
