Your favorite free streaming platform is getting a facelift. Tubi TV, one of the most popular free streaming services, announced a massive revamp to its brand identity last Wednesday, introducing a new logo, color scheme, and catchphrase.
Users with supported devices will soon notice a different appearance when they next sign in to the platform. For those accessing the service through a browser, these changes should be immediately visible at tubitv.com. However, if you’re using a mobile or desktop app, you’ll need to update it to see the new look.
Tubi’s New Look
Tubi has replaced its previous orange and red accents with a bolder and more playful color scheme featuring a vibrant neon yellow hue, complementing its signature purple. The addition of yellow also adds warmth and invitation to the platform’s aesthetic.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Nicole Parlapiano, this color shift aims to create a “bold and mischievous” experience for viewers.
The branding updates go beyond just the logo. Tubi is also overhauling the entire user interface across its TV, web, and mobile platforms. The platform’s black background has been swapped out for the familiar purple, now highlighted with white and yellow accents. Even the app icons (mobile and TV) have been redesigned to align with the aesthetic of the new logo.
The “t” in the logo has also been given a more playful touch, incorporating a circle to symbolize the experience of delving into a “rabbit hole” of endless streaming entertainment. Tubi has also introduced a new audio signature to enhance the user experience. However, the core functionalities of the platform remain unchanged despite these changes.
Recent Growth
Tubi has experienced consistent growth in its user base, moving from 20 million users in 2019 to over 78 million active users by the close of 2023. Furthermore, the platform has expanded its content library to include over 200,000 films and TV show episodes, offering users a wide range of choices.
