This keeps you in control and helps prevent trolling, making sure conversations stay positive.

Instagram Stories, one of the app’s most popular features, just got an upgrade. Now, users can leave comments on stories that everyone can see, but there are some smart limits to keep things friendly.

Before this update, if you wanted to react to someone’s story, you could only send them a private emoji or message. With the new “Story Comments” feature, you can post comments directly under stories, turning them into a spot for public chats.

However, only your followers, and in some cases, only people you both follow, can see and leave comments. These comments will disappear along with the stories after 24 hours.

If you’re not keen on having comments on your stories, you can easily turn this feature off for individual stories. This keeps you in control and helps prevent trolling, making sure conversations stay positive.

Instagram introduced this feature to make Stories more interactive while making sure everyone feels safe and respected. It’s a step towards making social media spaces healthier and giving people more control over their online interactions.
