Rumors are swirling around the internet about Apple working on a next-gen device called the iPhone 17 Air. You probably have heard it because the walls are thin. Okay, bad joke.
However, recent reports hint that Apple is facing challenges. An account on the Korean site Naver, cited by MacRumors, claims Apple is struggling to make the iPhone 17 Air as slim as planned. The main challenge? Battery thickness.
Apple reportedly wants to use a 6mm battery, which restricts how thin the device can be. For reference, the thinnest iPhone yet was the iPhone 6 at 6.9mm, so the iPhone 17 Air might not be much slimmer.
As always, it’s wise to treat early rumors cautiously. But if this holds true, the sleek new design might not be as groundbreaking as expected.
