Uber and Lyft Slash Fares with Discounted Rides for Election Day

For Election Day 2024, companies like Uber, Lyft, and Lime are making it easier to get to the polls with special discounts and free rides.

Uber and Lyft are offering 50% off rides on Tuesday. For Uber, the “Go vote!” option will provide up to $10 off. Additionally, Uber is offering 25% discounts for rides to election watch parties. Lyft’s promo, using code VOTE24, also gives 50% off (up to $10) on rides, bikes, and scooters.

Lime is offering two free 30-minute rides on scooters or bikes with code VOTE2024, perfect for getting to and from voting locations. Scooter companies Bird and Spin are also joining in, offering free rides with code ROCKTHEVOTE2024 in select cities.

Hertz is providing a free car rental day with code 211636, though it requires two additional paid rental days.

In many cities, public transit services are offering free bus or light rail rides to polling sites. Check your local transit provider for details.
