No more extra steps when the bill comes to the table with Venmo.

Venmo, the popular digital payments app, is introducing a new feature that simplifies expense tracking and settlement among groups. The new feature, Groups, eliminates the need for spreadsheets or third-party apps like Splitwise, allowing users to seamlessly manage shared expenses within the Venmo app.

With the Groups feature, each group member can add expenses, view their individual balance, and send or receive payments directly within the group. Expenses can be added and calculated at any time, making it easy to keep track of shared costs throughout an outing or event.

“We know that managing ongoing expenses in a group can be challenging, especially when members contribute different amounts at different times,” said Erika Sanchez, VP and General Manager at Venmo. “Groups is one of our most requested features, and we’re excited to provide a streamlined solution for our users.”

The Groups feature is rolling out gradually and will be available to all Venmo users within the coming weeks. With this new addition, Venmo further enhances its user experience, making it a more versatile and comprehensive platform for managing both individual and group finances.
