Apple has decided to cancel plans for a sequel to Wolfs, a crime thriller starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Just three months ago, Apple signed a deal with director Jon Watts to develop the follow-up, but the project is no longer moving forward.
The news came during an interview with Collider, where Watts, while promoting his new Disney+ Star Wars series Skeleton Crew. Variety later confirmed with sources that the sequel has been scrapped.
Wolfs, which starred Clooney and Pitt as rival fixers in the criminal underworld, received plenty of attention for its big-name cast. However, it seems Apple has decided not to pursue a second film.
For now, fans of the first movie will have to imagine what a sequel might have been like as Jon Watts focuses on other projects, including his Star Wars series. Apple has not commented on the cancellation.
