According to one of the recent stories on Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on an update allowing users to pin more than three chats. In this update, users can pin up to five chats, which will come in handy for those who found three limiting. In the current beta version (according to Wabetainfo), the option to pin five chats is not enabled by default, so users have to enable it manually in settings. This could be the case since the feature is still in beta. With the final release, this option will likely be enabled by default.
Details regarding the release dates for this feature are not yet available. If you’re looking forward to pinning more than three chats, you may have to wait a bit longer. The good news is that WhatsApp usually releases most of the features tested in beta versions after a few months and sometimes weeks. So, we should likely see this feature roll out to the general public before the second half of the year.
