Google Photos now enables you to establish a “Favorite shortcut” to instantly share full quality with your preferred individual, expediting sharing.

Users will receive notifications regarding this functionality under Library > Utilities > Add favorite shortcut. When a person is selected, they are included in the Google Photos share sheet, which is accessible by long-pressing an image in the main feed/grid. The selected person is also positioned as the primary option in the “Send” carousel.

This feature represents Google Photos’ built-in sharing solution, which features a messaging-like user interface within the app/service. The icon is marked with a heart symbol at the bottom-right corner, and Google highlights its “full quality” aspect compared to other options.

You can select only one favorite at a time. To remove or alter your selection, navigate to Settings > Sharing Favorite shortcut. According to 9to5Google, the Favorite shortcut is being introduced with Google Photos version 6.76 for Android. However, it is not yet available on iOS.
