So, remember that little AT&T outage a few days ago? (Yes, it’s all coming back now.)
You may have been impacted by last Thursday’s service interruption that affected cellular service. AT&T has apologized on their ‘Making It Right’ webpage, detailing a credit offer to compensate for the recent outage. They are also taking steps to prevent similar disruptions in the future.

A major AT&T outage on Thursday impacted users nationwide, with some experiencing cell service disruptions for over five hours. This widespread outage affected other mobile carriers, as users from companies like T-Mobile reported downtime due to their attempts to reach AT&T customers, unaware the root cause wasn’t their service provider.
While AT&T is offering a $5 credit to some customers impacted by a recent network outage as compensation for the inconvenience, there are a few key details to consider. Firstly, the credit is applied per account, not per device. This means even if you have multiple phone lines on your AT&T account, you’ll only receive a single $5 credit.
Additionally, the offer excludes customers with AT&T Business accounts, prepaid services, or those using Cricket Wireless, owned by AT&T. If you’re an eligible AT&T customer, you don’t need to act. The credit will automatically apply to your bill within one or two billing cycles.
