Google is reportedly developing a new “AI Mode” for its search engine, introducing a conversational interface similar to the Gemini AI chatbot.

This feature is expected to deliver AI-generated responses alongside traditional search results, seamlessly integrated into tabs like “All,” “Images,” and “Videos.” Users may see links to related pages and a follow-up question bar for deeper exploration.

Google has yet to comment on the project. The move shows growing competition in AI-driven search, with OpenAI recently expanding ChatGPT search to all users and Google rolling out AI search summaries to more countries in October 2024.
